The birth of Marylee! . Sarasota Birth Photographer

This birth was my first one to shoot in a hospital.  It's always a priviledge to get to witness the miracle of birth, and this one was no different.  Just as special.  But it was so interesting to see the difference between a midwife homebirth and a dr. hospital birth.
Meet Marylee!

I showed up around 3cm and things were very calm.  So I headed home so mama could rest a while.

I got a text around 9cm to head back to the hospital.  It was time for the main event!

pretty soon it was time to push!  Mama pushed for about an hour...I think.  But time flies when it comes to labor!  It's so exciting!
